Julian Bajada joined the firm as a trainee in 2015.
Julian graduated LLB (Hons.) from the University of Malta in 2017, submitting a dissertation entitled “Pulling in the Crowd – Establishing a regulatory framework for Equity-Crowdfunding in Malta?” Immediately after this first degree, he graduated from the Masters in Advocacy degree (M.A. Adv) from the same University. Shortly thereafter, Julian embarked on a Masters of Corporate Law at the University of Cambridge, submitting a case study paper on “Legal Risk Management in Mergers & Acquisitions”.
During the course of his studies abroad, Julian was also engaged as an intern at the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance and was involved on a number of research-based and project-based initiatives, collaborating with industry stakeholders and start-ups in the RegTech and FinTech industries.
As part of the CP Training Programme, Julian has been assigned work in the Corporate & Finance practice group, contributing to the firm’s capital markets, finance, banking, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate and commercial law practice areas. Upon admission to practice, Julian intends to further his career principally in the areas of capital markets and corporate finance, together with emerging areas of law including fintech, blockchain, crypto-currencies, smart contracts, and alternative finance.
