Mark practices primarily in the areas of domestic and international tax advisory and tax restructuring, providing advice particularly in the remit of identifying the tax implications of, and devising tax efficient structures for, local as well as cross-border transactions. Mark also assists in advising clients on the corporate law aspects of a wide range of transactions and contributes to other areas including corporate finance and M&A.
Mark joined the firm as an Associate in October 2014. Prior to joining, Mark completed an LL.M. in Tax Law at the London School of Economics, focusing his studies particularly on international taxation and submitting a thesis titled, ‘The Arm’s Length Principle: Evolution into a Double Standard?’ Mark had previously graduated with a Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Malta in 2013, after submitting a thesis titled, ‘Legal Implications of a Financial Transactions Tax: A European Union Perspective’. Mark is also in the process of completing his ACCA qualification. Mark is an associate in the Corporate & Finance practice group.
