I started off my experience at Camilleri Preziosi as an intern where I had the invaluable opportunity to bridge the gap between university and the workplace. During my internship, I gained practical insights that I learnt could only be developed through real situations. The direct exposure I faced at Camilleri Preziosi made me realize that no lecture could prepare me for the dynamic and challenging environment lawyers experience daily.
Once I began my traineeship at Camilleri Preziosi, I had the privilege of working closely with highly experienced advocates who have consistently fostered a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Being surrounded by such knowledgeable and approachable advocates created an environment where I always felt encouraged to ask questions, learn and contribute. I am especially grateful for the opportunity to be mentored directly by one of the Partners of the firm. This has not only allowed me to apply the theoretical and strategic legal skills I acquired during my studies but also it has offered me a deeper appreciation of the softer skills that makes a great lawyer, such as client care, judgment and professionalism.
Being encouraged to actively contribute to meaningful work while receiving guidance from such a mentor has helped me build confidence in my work, especially knowing I had support if I needed it. Camilleri Preziosi has provided a great balance of independence and mentorship where I was able to grow from a law student to a legal professional. With such responsibility, I was able to believe in the quality of my own work and ensure that I am a reliable member of the team.
I am very grateful for the support and trust I have been shown throughout this traineeship and I look forward to continuing to develop these skills as I progress in my career at Camilleri Preziosi.
Working at Camilleri Preziosi has helped me bridge the gap between the law we study and the law we practice. Through this experience, I have gained practical skills such as contract drafting and reviewing, which are not typically taught at university. I have also benefited from hands-on exposure when dealing directly with clients.
At Camilleri Preziosi, you are constantly encouraged to ask questions and seek guidance whenever needed. The work culture is healthy and supportive, with communication being a top priority. Furthermore, the numerous training sessions and company events demonstrate the firm’s dedication to its people, balancing work and leisure while fostering continuous professional growth.
Last summer, I had the incredible opportunity to join Camilleri Preziosi as a legal intern, gaining hands-on experience to a range of legal areas that have contributed to both my academic and personal growth. Following my internship, I was fortunate to continue working with the firm over the winter period. Balancing university and work had its challenges, but the team was very supportive and flexible.
Completing my winter internship, I was thrilled to be offered a full-time position. While my university education provided the theoretical foundation, Camilleri Preziosi gave me the chance to apply legal principles in practice. Working in the Real Estate, Construction, and Litigation Department, I gained practical insights into multiple sectors and developed key skills in client interaction. The collaborative and welcoming culture made my transition into professional legal work seamless.
Over time, I’ve been entrusted with more complex tasks, from drafting legal documents to participating in client meetings, which has deepened my understanding of litigation and client service. While University exposes students to different areas of law, real growth comes from practice, making mistakes, and learning from them, and this is exactly the environment Camilleri Preziosi fosters.
I’m grateful to be part of such a dynamic team and excited for what the future holds. For students seeking a supportive, engaging, and challenging environment to develop their legal expertise, I would highly recommend Camilleri Preziosi!

My time at Camilleri Preziosi has proven to be very rewarding, providing me with invaluable experience and opportunities for my professional growth. From my very first day, I felt genuinely welcomed and included. The atmosphere is professional without being overly formal, which makes it easy to settle in and feel at ease. Everyone is approachable, and you never feel like you’re imposing if you ask a question or need guidance.
One of the things I’ve valued most is how supportive each team is, especially in helping us bridge the gap between the academic world and the realities of practice. Coming straight from five years of university can make stepping into practice feel daunting, but at Camilleri Preziosi, they fully understand that transition and make sure you’re guided and assisted every step of the way. That kind of mentorship has been invaluable in helping me gain confidence and apply what I’ve studied to practical situations. The firm is also excellent at what it does, with well-structured internal procedures, which makes the workflow smooth.
What really stood out to me is that they trust you with meaningful work. You’re not just given tasks for the sake of keeping busy, and you’re given responsibilities that matter, with contributions that are genuinely appreciated. That sense of trust and recognition pushes you to grow and give your best. Another highlight has been the opportunity to work across different practice areas during the summer. At university, it is easy to develop an idea of the field of law you would like to pursue, but experiencing the day-to-day work in different areas often reveals new perspectives and interests you might not have considered before. Rotating between various fields has allowed me to gain a broader understanding of the profession, strengthen different skill sets, and appreciate how diverse the practice of law really is, while still keeping in mind the areas I feel most inclined towards.
