Trainees and Law Students
We have designed a training and development programme which has been running successfully for several years. The programme aims to provide law students with a balance between the on-the-job experience and formal academic studies, geared as the bridge that allows law students to become professionals, and to make the conversion from law graduates to lawyers. Suited mostly for local III to V Year law students, applicants in this training programme can also expect to participate in seminars, discussion and working groups, forming part of the firm’s personal and professional development programme for lawyers. This on-going programme is designed to enable trainees to develop the required legal and analytical skills, as well as other professional and interpersonal skills required in the profession. Handling all kinds of client transactions, our trainees are exposed to the demands of clients and have the opportunity to practice law using real case scenarios, through supervision and mentoring by experienced and seasoned lawyers.
Third and fourth-year law students seeking an enriching paid summer traineeship experience can delve into various practice areas, handle authentic case scenarios, and engage with seasoned lawyers. By assisting with real-world client transactions, trainees develop essential legal competencies and refine their analytical knowledge, laying a solid foundation for their future careers.
Similarly, fifth-year students can benefit from our internship experience. Fifth-year interns commit to approximately 12 hours of weekly training throughout their final academic year, allowing them to enhance their legal practical application as well as their critical thinking skills. Upon completing their fifth academic year, interns can seamlessly transition into a one-year, full-time paid internship, secured by a definite contract. Interns have the opportunity to transition to a full-time position if they demonstrate compatibility with the firm and if they wish to continue their professional journey with us. This immersive internship period provides them with invaluable hands-on experience and further refines their legal expertise, preparing them for the demands of the legal profession. This ensures that talented individuals can further develop their skills and contribute meaningfully to our firm's success.
Business support professionals
Client demands and timelines require response times that cannot be achieved without the right support staff. We continuously seek experienced staff who can properly support our lawyers in the performance of their duties. Our business services teams work in a variety of areas, including Human Resources, Accounting, Marketing & Business Development, and Information Technology.
