We are looking for a motivated and skilled corporate and commercial lawyer to join our dynamic Corporate, Tax and Anti Financial Crime team. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in complex legal challenges and contribute to significant projects across the industries in which the Firm operates.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assisting on a variety of local and international corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, due diligence exercises, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, corporate governance matters (including shareholders’ agreements) and general corporate law mandates.
- Drafting and negotiating of commercial contracts.
- Assistance with company incorporations, the preparation of statutory forms and filings with the Malta Business Registry.
- Manage client relationships and collaborate with other team members within the Firm.
- Liaise with professional advisors and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct thorough legal research on various legal issues and provide consolidated legal opinions on client inquiries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or necessary.
Qualifications & Skill Set
- A warranted lawyer with a minimum of 4 years’ experience practising corporate and commercial law.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, drafting and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Deadline driven, with a proactive approach.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A keen interest in learning, growing, and advancing in the legal field.
