Lisa ‘s primary focus is on the application of EU and national competition rules which involves advising on investigations by the national competition authority, sector enquiries, complaints and merger filings. She has also worked extensively on EU state aid compliance issues related to: concessions, public tenders, and any investment in infrastructure, fiscal aid and public support for SGEIs. She has also been involved in advising both the public sector as well as the private sector in planning a compliant procurement strategy; drafting procurement documents; reviewing of procurement processes; advising on changes to public contracts; and advising bidders on challenging procurement processes.
She is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta for the LL.B. undergraduate programme and the Master of Laws programme in European and Comparative Law.
