The Camilleri Preziosi half-day conference on anti-money laundering and data protection will be held on the 9 March 2018 between 14:00 and 18:00, followed by networking drinks.
The Conference will focus on how subject persons can manage and balance the conflicting objectives of the anti-money laundering and data privacy regimes, in the course of navigating through a challenging regulatory landscape which is constantly evolving. Our three breakout sessions will consider the need for subject persons to juggle anti-money laundering and data privacy compliance obligations together with other sector-specific legislation, such as the Second Payment Services Directive in the case of credit and financial institutions, and the evolving gaming regulatory framework for land-based and remote gaming entities. AI and robotics, coupled with developments in the crypto currencies world, are also impacting data protection and AML trends and will be the focus of a third breakout session.
UNLOCKING NEW AML AND GDPR OBLIGATIONS: FRIENDS OR FOES? CONFERENCE has been accredited by the Malta Institute of Accountants with 3.5 hours under its CPE programme. Attendance certificates will be issued on the day.
