Traders established within the EU, who sell goods and services to consumers online, must provide their customers with information on their websites about the EU Online Dispute Resolution Platform. This initiative was introduced on 15 February 2016, in line with the EU Regulation 524/2013 on Online Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes. Online traders must provide a link to the Online Dispute Resolution Platform, found on this link: https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/odr/main/index.cfm?event=main.home.show&lng=EN. They must also provide consumers with a business email address which shall be used as a first point of contact in the event of a dispute.
