Legal 500 – EMEA 2026: Camilleri Preziosi Maintains Its Position Among Malta’s Leading Law Firms

Camilleri Preziosi has once again been recognised as a leading force in Malta’s legal landscape, earning top-tier rankings across ten practice areas in the Legal 500 EMEA 2026 edition. These results underscore the firm’s sustained commitment to delivering excellence across a broad spectrum of disciplines and reaffirm the trust that clients and peers continue to place in our team.

The firm secured Tier 1 rankings in five core practice areas — Aviation, Banking & Finance and Capital Markets, Commercial, Corporate & M&A, Dispute Resolution, and Real Estate — while also earning Tier 2 recognition in Fintech, Intellectual Property, Investment Funds, Private Client, and Shipping. This breadth of recognition across ten distinct areas of practice is a reflection of the depth and versatility of our legal expertise.

On an individual level, Managing Partner Louis de Gabriele continues to hold his place in the prestigious Hall of Fame for his work in Banking & Finance and Capital Markets and Commercial, Corporate & M&A, while also being recognised as a Leading Partner in Investment Funds.

This year’s rankings also see Steve Decesare elevated to Leading Partner in Aviation — a well-deserved recognition of his growing prominence in the field. Partners Andrei Vella and Marisa Vella retain their positions as Leading Partners in Banking & Finance and Dispute Resolution and Real Estate, respectively.

The firm’s pipeline of talent is further evidenced by the recognition of Andrew Caruana Scicluna and Kristina Rapa Manche as Next Generation Partners. Andrew continues to be acknowledged for his expertise in Banking & Finance and Investment Funds, while Kristina is recognised for her work in Dispute Resolution — both praised for their pragmatic and client-focused approach.

Among our rising stars, six associates have earned recognition as Leading Associates: Rya Gatt in Real Estate, Sharon Xuereb and Alexia Valenzia in Intellectual Property, Diane Bugeja in Fintech, Nicola Buhagiar in Capital Markets, and Francesca Galea Cavallazzi in Dispute Resolution. Their inclusion in this year’s rankings speaks to the calibre of the next generation of lawyers at Camilleri Preziosi and the firm’s investment in nurturing exceptional talent.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our clients, whose continued confidence and collaboration make these achievements possible. These rankings are ultimately a reflection of the strong partnerships we have built and the shared pursuit of excellence that drives everything we do. We look forward to building on this momentum in the year ahead.

Commenting on the results, Managing Partner Louis de Gabriele stated: “Our continued recognition as a Tier 1 firm across all major legal directories is not merely a benchmark — it is a mandate to push beyond what we have already achieved. Each year, we set out to raise the bar, and these rankings affirm that our resolve is well-placed. This would not be possible without the exceptional dedication of our team, whose talent and tenacity are the foundation of everything we deliver, and the unwavering trust of our clients, who challenge us to be better and inspire us to never settle for anything less than excellence. We remain steadfast in our pursuit of growth, innovation, and the highest standards of legal service.”
